Sain inspiraation tähän teokseen Turun Taideakatemian tulevasta lyhytelokuvasta nimeltä “Suden tarha”. Haastoin itseäni luomaan teoksen tarinasta josta en tiedä sen enempää kuin mitä lyhyt synopsis kertoo; siispä tämä ei virallisesti liity elokuvaprojektiin, vaan toimii minun henkilökohtaisena tulkintana aiheesta.

Ohjaajan kirjoittama kuvaus lyhytelokuvasta:
”Turun taideakatemian 15-minuuttinen lyhytelokuva Suden tarha havainnoi yhtä nyky-yhteiskunnan tunnistettavimpia ilmiöitä, tonkien tämän mahdollisia juurisyitä. Andrew Tate ja hänen kaltaisten kaupustelijoiden ongelmallisuus on jo monelle tuttua, kun taas vähemmän tutkitulta tuntuu ympäristö, joka tämän aiheuttaa. Suden tarha satirisoi, leikittelee, mutta myös kohtaa aiheensa totuudenmukaisella tarmolla. Kokonaisuudessaan se pyrkii saavuttamaan omanlaisen perspektiivin laajentamisen, jättäen katsojansa lopulta avoimen kysymyksen äärelle, metsän siimekseen.”

Inspired by the upcoming short film “Suden tarha”, I challenged myself to create a painting of this story that I know about only so much as the short synopsis tells me; so, this isn’t officially related to the film project, but acts as my personal interpretation of the topic.

Description of the short film, written by the director:
“15-minute short film ‘Suden tarha’ by Turku Arts Academy observes one of the most recognisable phenomenons in modern society, rummaging its possible root causes. Andrew Tate and his kind of peddlers’ problematic nature is already familiar to many, whereas the environment causing this feels less researched. Suden tarha satirises, plays, but also faces the subject with truthful vigour. As a whole, it attempts to achieve its own kind of expansion of perspective, eventually leaving the viewer before an open question, in the shades of the forest.”
