It’s important to me, as an artist, to create from my unique perspective and stay true to my creative voice. Intuition is a strong and natural part of the creative process for me.

This shows especially in the abstract paintings, but is also present in the figurative works. I enjoy developing both the intuitive and technical aspects of art as it offers wider repertoire to tell meaningful stories. In fact, I often write short stories or poems which add to the tales the artworks have already begun.

My relationship with art has greatly evolved throughout the years. I’ve always enjoyed creating myself. However, for a long time, I viewed art and being an artist as something inherently unattractive and miserable.

As I’ve worked on my craft, got more familiar with art history, and through my own life experiences, my appreciation towards art and the masters of the past has grown significantly. This has also given me greater understanding of its value.

For me, the emotional connection of art is magical; How it helps us deal with periods of struggle and sadness. How it inspires us toward worthwhile pursuits. Or, how it just brings a bit more joy and beauty into our daily lives.
