The Ancient Priestess

An aquarelle painting inspired by a short film ”Suden tarha” (written & directed by Amil Hakimdzhan). The main character is portrayed in the middle, and he looks at behind the viewer, as if he’s realised something we don’t see. Behind him stands the wolf, as if guarding the young man, but trying to direct his gaze at the same time. The red trees in the background symbolise the power of the wolf, as the branches spread all around the background. The reference photos were taken and provided by Teemu Keskimölö.
