Portrait for Private Collection

A beautiful lady with brown hair and light brown eyes looks directly at us, with her head tilted slightly to he right. She wears a light blue dress, and a slightly see-through veil over her head. A golden ring of light surrounds the top of her head, and her hands are placed together, as if in prayer. Behind her, we can see two yellowish-orange pyramids in the distance.

Lady from the Desert

A pastel drawing of the artist Sami Vuorenmaa, created by the artist himself. The artist holds a paintbrush that glows turquoise, like a magic wand. He wears a beige suit, inspired by the late 1890s to early 1900s style. His tie is light blue, and one can just make out a small diamond on the tie. The artist smiles and looks at us, proudly representing himself!

Self-Portrait

A portrait of an exceptionally wise being, who’s visiting the Earth. He’s standing opposite to us, holding his hand before his heart, indicating how it hurts to witness the situation on Earth. His expression is concerned, as he talks to us humans, trying to explain us how important it is to care for each other instead of fighting. He’s got a blueish grey skin, and he wears quite a majestic purple rope with edgings of pure gold. He’s got a sand coloured background, resembling ancient Egypt. His eyes are deep beyond measure and hold divine wisdom within them.

World Underwater

Old cave painting on the side of the grey rock wall. It is illuminated by turquoise crystals that catch the light of moon and stars. The stick figures in the cave painting have been drawn in a comical fashion; very simplified forms. In the cave painting, you can witness the life of this lost valley; man fishing, girl collecting flowers and playing, and a warm hut waiting for them to return from their daily work!

The Force Of S4

An aquarelle painting inspired by a short film ”Suden tarha” (written & directed by Amil Hakimdzhan). The main character is portrayed in the middle, and he looks at behind the viewer, as if he’s realised something we don’t see. Behind him stands the wolf, as if guarding the young man, but trying to direct his gaze at the same time. The red trees in the background symbolise the power of the wolf, as the branches spread all around the background. The reference photos were taken and provided by Teemu Keskimölö.
